Enthusiastic and committed, you’ll be interested in developing a career with people who have autism. You’ll work as an integral member of the support team in a day care provision, helping to ensure a high quality of care and support to adults who have autism. This will involve continuous autism specific training. Whilst experience of working in the field of autism is not essential it would be desirable, as would an HNC, SVQ II or III in Social Care or a willingness to work towards it. Knowledge of care standards and current legislation along with a driving licence would also be desirable. Excellent communication, flexibility and team working skills are essential. Posts may involve lone working and shift work.
