Fife & Tayside Area Services

 

Autism Practitioner Level I-II (F/T, P/T, Casual & Nightshift available)

£15,790 to £17,872 (pro rata for P/T)
£8.21 per hour for Casuals

Vacancies are avaiable in the following services:

Residential Support – Providing support for young persons with ASD within their home, emphasis on providing a happy, caring home from which the individuals can derive satisfaction and maximise their independent living skills.

Children's Outreach – Providing support to children with ASD in the community. Support is flexible and has specific aims and objectives.

Outreach services – Providing support to adults with ASD within their home and local communities. Emphasis is on supporting individuals with independent living skills, social opportunities and learning.

Full time & part time –You'll be part of a team supporting young persons or adults with ASD with high levels of support needs and challenging behaviours within a residential environment. You are likely to have experience working in a care setting. Excellent communication, flexibility and team working skills are essential. Posts involve shift work/weekend work.

Part time (30–35 hours per week) –You’ll be part of a wider team delivering support to adults with ASD living within the community. You are likely to have experience working in care and lone working. Excellent communication, flexibility and problem solving skills. Posts involve lone working, shift work, evening and weekend work.

Casual Workers/Relief posts – If you are flexible in your approach, working as requested due to vacancies, etc. may suit many people interested in working with adults with ASD on a casual basis or over periods such as holidays.

For all posts, you must be motivated and committed to providing a high standard of care and ideally hold a relevant qualification as set by the SSSC and/or demonstrate commitment to ongoing training and development. Experience of working in the field of autism is desirable.
