Ways to give as a business

Many companies recognise the contribution that a positive relationship with a national charity can bring to their organisation. There are many reasons why a company may choose to enter into a strategic or tactical partnership with a charity:

  • to improve public perception and credibility of the company
  • to create customer loyalty to the company and its brand
  • to promote customer empathy and increases sales and market share
  • to build relationships throughout communities

Support need not take the form of money. In 2007, employees from the Royal Bank of Scotland spent a week helping refurbish a local day service. BIP Solutions donated 10 laptops to New Struan School.

Payroll giving

You can now give to The Scottish Society for Autism direct from your salary through payroll giving - the simplest and most tax effective way to give if you are employed or in a company pension scheme. Your regular donations will help us plan our work and provide effective support to persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout Scotland.

Why payroll giving?
Its tax effective and very easy to set up and manage. The amount you decide to give is deducted from your pay before tax is calculated. So every £1 you give will only cost you 78p. If you pay higher rate tax the tax savings are even greater.

How do I sign up?
If your employer or company doesn't already have a payroll giving scheme contact us and we can help you set it up. The Scottish Society for Autism would be delighted to advise and offer practical assistance on Payroll Giving.
